Mills & Boon and Star World War Two

I’m a fan of photographic parodies, especially the vinyl sleeve heads fad that raged a couple of years back. People’s ability to find ridiculous things to make fun of whilst also posing in front of a camera never ceases to amaze me.

Therefore, I was happy to find this set of photos, apparently published for International Women’s Day (see earlier post featuring Daniel Craig in a dress). They feature, and are composed by photographer Alex Holder and are parodies of the melodramatic covers of Mills & Boone romantic novels popular two decades ago.

On a similar note, check out these re-jigged versions of iconic Second World War images made to look like battle scenes from Star Wars. George Lucas would approve.

Brillo.
